The primary health care (hereinafter referred to as PHC) is provided by a PHC medical brigade, which consists of a primary health care doctor and a primary health care nurse and/or assistant of the doctor. These days, family doctors, paediatricians and interns (hereinafter referred to as – family doctors) can work as primary health care doctors.

In this section of the homepage you can learn more about the lists of family doctors who work in the state system, and meanwhile who work in primary health care, and also who register and receive patients. Those doctors are also given certain territories for their basic activities, since a family doctor cannot refuse to register the children or the spouse of his or her present patients in the patient registry, who have been already registered in the patient registry, as well as refuse the patients who dwell on the territory of the doctor’s basic activity.
